Unpaid Internship - Cybersecurity Intern

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to support our team in protecting company systems, networks, and data. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who want hands-on experience in cybersecurity and IT security practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring network and system activities for security threats.
• Support in identifying, analyzing, and reporting security vulnerabilities.
• Help maintain security tools (antivirus, firewalls, access control systems).
• Participate in security audits and documentation.
• Assist in implementing security awareness initiatives.
• Work with the IT team to improve overall system security.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (threats, vulnerabilities, malware, phishing, etc.).
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Currently studying Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
• Exposure to security tools (SIEM, Kali Linux, Wireshark).
• Understanding of secure coding practices.
• Knowledge of cloud security basics.
