Job Summary
The Estate Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, renovation, and day-to-day management of the Institute's facilities and infrastructure. The role ensures that construction and maintenance projects are completed efficiently, service providers are effectively supervised, facilities comply with health and safety regulations, and all assets are properly maintained to support the Institute's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and renovation of buildings, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance budgets.
- Supervise contracted construction works and monitor the performance of service providers.
- Inspect facilities and oversee repairs to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
- Develop health and safety reports and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of machinery, equipment, and facility assets for accountability and planning purposes.
- Monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout construction and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal departments to ensure timely project completion.
- Support effective utilization and preservation of institutional assets and facilities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Education
- Diploma in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in estate, facilities, or construction management.
Professional Requirements
- Accredited by the National Construction Authority (NCA) as a Supervisor of Works.
- Proficiency in architectural and construction software is an added advantage.
