Summary
The Fundraising Intern will play a critical role by assisting in developing and implementing the organization’s fundraising strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researching potential donors, corporations, and other grant opportunities
- Assisting in drafting concept notes, proposals, donor reports and fundraising materials
- Support the organization in maintaining the donor database, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Help organize fundraising campaigns and outreach activities
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and communications for donor meetings
- Track fundraising performance metrics and assist in monitoring donor engagement
- Provide administrative support to the fundraising team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Communications, Business, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, and partnership development, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Kenya Refugee Landscape
- Non-Kenyan applicants must hold an appropriate work visa/permit
