Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide strategic and academic leadership in the delivery of the Kenyan 8-4-4 curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, staff development, and student performance. The role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in primary school management, curriculum implementation, and improving academic outcomes at both County and National levels.
Key Requirements
Instructional Expertise
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering the Kenyan 8-4-4 curriculum.
- Evidence of effective teaching and learning strategies aligned with the 8-4-4 education system.
- Proven success in preparing students for national examinations, including KCPE, with documented evidence of national performance rankings.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum Studies, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and in good professional standing.
Experience
- Age: 35–50 years.
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role as a Deputy Headteacher or Headteacher.
- Proven ability to mentor staff, lead teams, and improve academic and institutional performance.
- Experience teaching and managing at the primary school level, including upper primary and junior school transitions.
Academic Performance Record
- Proven record of outstanding academic performance in KCPE (370 marks and above), KPSEA, or KJSEA (7.0 and above).
- Demonstrated success at both County and National levels.
Documented Achievements
- Evidence of improving learner achievement and examination performance.
- Successful implementation of curriculum improvements and educational initiatives.
- Proven impact on staff development, teaching quality, and overall school performance.
