Cytonn Asset Managers Limited (CAML) is a regulated Fund Manager by the Capital Markets Authority and the Retirement Benefits Authority. The company is also a licensed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Manager under the Capital Markets Authority. Our objective is to offer superior risk-adjusted investment returns to our clients through investments in both the public and alternative investment markets. The fund manager provides Cytonn Money Market Fund (CMMF) (https://cytonn.com/asset-managers/money-market-fund), one of the high-yielding money market funds in Kenya, which is fully automated for our retail investors.

CAML investors include global and local institutional investors, individual retail investors, and diaspora investors.

To advance key growth initiatives, the company is seeking highly motivated, dynamic, hardworking, and self-driven team players to join the Investments Department. The individuals will handle various aspects of Public Markets, Alternative Investments (Real Estate Research, Real Estate Investments and Private Equity). Many who have gone through our internship program have gone on to work for world-renowned Private Equity firms, Financial Services Firms, and Corporations.

Responsibilities

• Conducting fundamental company & investment opportunity research and analysis, in Real Estate, Private Equity, Structured Products, Equities & Fixed Income
• Financial modelling and data analysis
• Analyzing historical and projected financial statements & investment data
• Authoring original investment research
• Preparing written reports and verbal presentations
• Conducting country, industry and capital markets research
• Participating in the evaluation, formulation and implementation of investment strategies
• Contributing in investment meetings and review sessions
• Conduct industry and customer analyses on behalf of the Investment and business development teams
• Work with clients to develop a financial plan as the basis of providing sound financial advice
• Prepare the relevant presentations for events
• Comply with all corporate policies and procedures
• Thought leadership and article writing.
• Any other duties as may be prescribed from time to time

Requirements

• The ideal candidate should have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Upper Second Class Honors or equivalent
• Minimum of a B+ in KCSE or equivalent
• Sufficient progress towards professional qualifications in finance/investments e.g. CIFA/CFA or be a registered student and actively pursuing the CFA, CIFA, CPA or CAIA qualifications
• Excellent analytical skills and quantitative ability
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with great accuracy, organization, attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to carry out assigned projects to completion with minimal directions
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and distill the most important takeaways to guide next steps
