Joinery Draughtsman

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD software and other software related to drawings
• Compile, check and archive drawings, so that joinery drawings can be issued to external parties
• Check printouts of drawings before handing over for approval or production
• Coordinate and check all incoming drawings with the original scope for revisions
• Keep a trail of incoming and outgoing documentation on projects

Qualifications & Experience:

• Technical certificate or diploma in a technical field
• Fully conversant with AutoCAD 2D
• Knowledge of detailing joints, construction & mechanical elements and components
• Conversant with drawing standards and rules of technical and architectural drawings
• Proven experience in detailing shopfitting and joinery items is mandatory
• Ability to take site measurements

• Self-organizer with strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
