About the Organization

International Transformation Foundation (ITF) is an international, youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people through comprehensive education and self-development programs in entrepreneurship and leadership. Established in 2009 and officially registered in Kenya in 2010, ITF equips youth with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and community engagement.

Our mission is to provide the most effective educational and self-development programs to youth and the community at large. Our vision is to empower youth who, in turn, contribute to the development of their countries.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Secretary General in addressing strategic and operational matters affecting ITF.
  • Ensure ITF maintains appropriate systems to conduct its activities lawfully, ethically, and efficiently.
  • Ensure ITF is appropriately staffed so that someone is directly accountable for each of the organization’s key functions at all times.
  • Ensure there are clear and effective formal and informal communication channels between the Office of the Secretary General and each key Officer function.
  • Guide and evaluate the work of each Officer function.
  • Provide leadership in setting a positive and productive organizational culture.
  • Identify and develop projects that fall within ITF’s scope.
  • Support projects during execution, monitoring, reporting, and closing.
  • Identify youth development problems that ITF is equipped to address and interested in solving.
  • Conduct feasibility and planning studies to determine how ITF could address identified problems and assess project viability.
  • Advertise available positions through ITF’s networks.
  • Receive, screen, and forward suitable applications to the Secretary General.
  • Organize interview schedules and locations for shortlisted candidates.
  • Organize weekly and monthly meetings to discuss workflows and progress.
  • Organize quarterly organizational culture training sessions for staff.
  • Ensure all staff develop personal performance plans for six-month performance reviews with the Secretary General.
  • Continuously improve orientation and induction materials and enhance the effectiveness of the role.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be under 30 years old.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Management, Human Resources, International Cooperation, or a related field.

Experience

  • Relevant experience in administration, management, human resources, project coordination, or nonprofit organizations is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Good organizational skills, including the ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on results.
  • Self-driven and proactive.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (minimum English).
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Ability to maintain an established work schedule, with or without flexibility.
  • Basic computer skills, including graphic communication publications.
  • Understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Motivated to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Willingness and capacity to volunteer.
  • Passion and commitment toward youth development.

Compensation

ITF volunteer staff enjoy limitless opportunities; however, ITF does not provide any form of financial compensation. All staff serve on a full-time volunteer basis. Volunteers are responsible for their own basic expenses, including accommodation and transportation to the office. ITF covers direct operational expenses such as transportation for meetings, field visits, and official organizational activities.

Working Arrangement

  • The volunteer is required to work from the office, although remote work is also available.
  • Office working hours are Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
