Job Summary
The Radiographer is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. Qualifications
- Diploma in Radiology or Medical Imaging Science from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license from the relevant regulatory body.
- At least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays and other radiographic examinations as prescribed by physicians.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring proper positioning.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure compliance with radiation protection and safety standards for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Monitor imaging equipment and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
- Ensure imaging rooms and equipment are clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous professional development.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety and quality assurance standards.
