Major Responsibilities
- IT Service Delivery: Implement, manage, and support end-user computing and IT services for ESARO and all regional country offices.
- Infrastructure & Systems Management: Oversee planning, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of hardware and software.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure system security, data protection, and compliance with IUCN IT policies.
- User Support & Helpdesk Coordination: Provide technical support and manage service requests under the global “follow-the-sun” model.
Specific Duties
- IT Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the development of global IT standards and manage regional infrastructure.
- Systems Administration: Administer and maintain regional IT infrastructure including servers, devices, and cloud environments.
- Cybersecurity Implementation: Manage cybersecurity controls and conduct recovery operations and business continuity planning.
- End-User Support: Provide advanced technical support and manage lifecycle support for end-user devices.
Requirements
- Education: University degree or equivalent in IT/Computer field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in End User Computing and Network/Systems environments.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in written and oral English and Kiswahili is required.

- Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build effective working relations in a multicultural setting.
- Adaptability: Willingness to travel for work-related tasks when required.
