Role Context – About the Team
- This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to embed priorities, develop KPIs, strengthen reporting and data analysis, and build organisational capability through awareness-raising, training, and strategic leadership.
Role Purpose
- Act as the organisation’s subject matter expert (SME) on sexual harassment, supporting the Safeguarding Team and sexual harassment working group.
- Embed, strengthen, and advance the organisation’s response in line with the amended Equality Act 2010 and the proactive duty to prevent harassment.
- Drive delivery of the Seven-Point Action Plan and progress through the Five-Stage Maturity Model.
- Ensure the organisation is compliant, prepared, and culturally equipped to prevent and respond to sexual harassment effectively.
Main Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership & Compliance
- Lead the organisation’s sexual harassment prevention and response work in alignment with the Equality Act 2010.
- Implement and improve the Seven-Point Action Plan with measurable outcomes.
- Guide progress through the Five-Stage Maturity Model and coordinate cross-organisational action.
- Advise senior leadership, HR, safeguarding, and operational teams on compliance, risk, and best practice.
Policy, Frameworks & Governance
- Review, update, and embed sexual harassment policies and procedures.
- Strengthen governance structures for oversight, assurance, and transparent reporting.
- Ensure trauma-informed, survivor-centred, safeguarding-aligned approaches.
Data, Insights & KPIs
- Develop KPIs and performance measures to track progress and identify risks.
- Analyse incident data and reporting trends to support decision-making.
Culture Change, Awareness & Training
- Design and deliver awareness campaigns and training for staff and leaders.
- Embed organisational priorities across all levels of practice.
- Promote a culture of respect, safety, and zero tolerance for harassment.
- Support delivery of Sexual Harassment / SEAH training models.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Collaborate with safeguarding, HR, EDI, operational teams, and external partners.
- Facilitate consultations, engagement sessions, and co-production activities.
Continuous Improvement & Readiness
- Identify emerging risks, trends, and legal updates.
- Ensure the organisation remains proactive and future-ready.
